Turn your engaged students into teachers!
Students develop a unit using the Ontario curriculum for the course. They will work through brainstorming, refinement and task development. They will engage in self-reflection at specific points which will be used to create a dialogue with other students within the focus group. They will become ‘guides’ through their topic by leading the class through their learning period with the activities they have planned. They will also build a student managed digital portfolio (options for communication include writing, blog, video blog, podcast, other web2.0 tools, etc). Personal learning will also be explored though reflective pieces within the unit culminating task and unit test.
