- you will complete WHMIS training and have a level of safety so that you can do lab investigations
- you will complete a introductory lab

Activity Two: Böhr Diagrams
- Read the review article – Periodic Table and Böhr ‘n’ Diagrams note.
- Practice the Böhr diagrams on the Smart Board – using a SMART notebook file (save and email to Ms Faulkner).
- Each group mate is required to do 3 Bohr diagrams – from the first 24 elements (Before you start the worksheet)
- Complete the ‘Böhr Diagrams’ worksheet and the ‘Ionic Charge and the Element Group’ (collumns A-D).
- Check your ‘Böhr Diagrams’ against the answer key and submit to Ms Faulkner
Activity Three: Reading
Use your textbook ‘Investigating Science 10’, read and note p142-144 and 146 (do questions 1-4), and 148 (do questions 1-4).
Each group member must submit their own answers.
Check your work against the answer key and submit to Ms Faulkner
Activity Four: WHMIS training
You will complete the WHMIS worksheet and check your answers with the answer key. Your lab map and answers will be submitted to Ms Faulkner directly.
